Otters are silly and fun, and playing with leaves can be silly and fun! It feels very on brand for otters to me.
I'm also sure otters recognize that stuff on heads makes everything better, leaves included.

Otters do love to play with leaves as we've seen, so I suppose it just happens that one lands on their heads.

Add to that how an otters head is a good shape to carry a leaf.

When there are leaves on the water and an otter comes up out of it, one of them may end up on his face.

This otter is clearly people watching, and they are camouflaging themselves using a leaf. The otter doesn't know they aren't very well hidden, but we don't want to upset the otter and we want to see them again, so we'll just make that our little secret.

Perhaps the leaves also enjoy it.

damn, these otters all look very nice with these leaves. The elegent look is only improved by the effortless sense of style. That and their long, lithe bodies make our streams, rivers and oceans into a regular fashion show!

We all love otters here, it's good to have another otter lover around. I, for one, definitely lose a couple IQ points when in presence of otters. It takes up a lot of brain resources to process all that is otter.

Otters seem to have various interesting effects on people. This should be studied further.

This raises the question, are there diminishing returns on otter leaves?
Anonymous · #3008 · Reply
Interesting question. If you would keep adding leaves you would get a pile of leaves, which is much more valuable than one leaf. Of course, how many leaves is enough for a pile of leaves?

Do otters like salad?
Anonymous · #3077 · Reply
To roll in? Definitely.
To eat? Depends, they'll probably just pick out the stuff they like.
Anonymous · #3083 · Reply
>>3077 but do they eat it, or are they an ingredient?
Anonymous · #3089 · Reply
You know salad does seem pretty comfy but I've never had one big enough to try sleeping in. A salad bowl would be the ideal size for an otter so they could sleep in it and enjoy snacking on it at the same time.
Anonymous · #3246 · Reply
Do you think salads are healthy for otters too?
Anonymous · #3393 · Reply
>>3246 Surely it's good for them to get a little bit of variety in their diet once in a while. Some canine predators do like to eat grass and such to help with digestion, don't they? Perhaps otters will do that too.
