Hello community, I would like to inform you that there is a conservation project in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Northeastern Brazil. Known as Project Lontra Viva. We have been active since 2011 in favor of the conservation of Lontra longicaudis. The founder and responsible for the project and research is a member of the IUCN/SSC Otter Specialist Group, Izabela Laurentino, with the support of UFRN and Instituto Biodiversidade (@ibio). I have a question, do y'all focus solely on Lontra longicaudis, or do you also help other otter species in the area? I know that South America has a fair share of otter species and was wondering how extensive the project is.

>>3539 (OP) In South America we have four species, however in RN there is only a record of the Neotropical Otter, so conservation work is carried out only with this species. More information: www.projetolontraviva.org
